The Belleville Public Library and Community Center enjoys a long history in the Belleville community, having recently celebrated its 145th anniversary. A new state-of-the-art, 13,000 square foot library and community center became the cornerstone of Belleville’s historic downtown district in 2021 and boasts a vibrant atmosphere that provides programs and services that bring people together, fosters creativity, and encourages lifelong learning. We preserve our storied past, enrich present lives, and prepare for an ever-changing future.

The Village of Belleville is a small community located 30 minutes from a world-class research university, a nationally-recognized health care system, and positioned in the midst of a region with a thriving economy. We are looking for someone to lead a creative and high-functioning team. Our next Director must be committed to connecting with our community, possess the ability to motivate and delegate, and demonstrate excellent communication skills and professionalism.
Requirements of the position:

This is a government position, with all of the excellent benefits that the village of Belleville has for its employees. Health, dental, life insurance, and retirement. Salary range of $55,000-$63,000.
