The Library is planning on displaying works in three different categories:

1. Local Artists: If you are an artist that would like to share your work, contact the curator (info below) to be considered.

2. Guest Artists: The curator will also ask regional artists to show their work.

3. Collections: Artwork from collections will also be featured.

Volunteer Curator:

The Belleville Public Library has decided to use a volunteer curator to select upcoming exhibits. If you would like to be a future curator, please contact Bronna or Zoe at the Library.

For 2023, the volunteer curator is Randy Gunter, who, along with his wife Cindy, owns a business in Belleville. Randy has a Bachelor of Science in Art from Northern Illinoise University and has been collecting artworks for over 30 years. He specializes in WPA artists and Photorealists.

If you are an artist and would like to be considered for display:

If you are an artist that would like to display your work, contact Randy via email or phone for more information at RandyGunter [at] gmail.com or 608-424-0264. (This is a work number, not a cell phone.) Please include information about yourself and photos of the work you would like to display in the message.

If you have suggestions of other artists that should be invited or people that have collections of interest, feel free to contact Randy with that information too.

A professional hanging system allows an easy display of framed artworks. Artists displaying work will need to provide framed pieces with a wired back hanger. The Library also has display cases available for displaying artworks and other collections. (Contact Bronna at the Library about exhibiting in these displays.)
