Bats are amazing animals that make up 20% of the world's mammal diversity! Wisconsin is home to eight bat species. Locally, the Badger State Trail's Stewart Tunnel serves as an important bat hibernaculum (overwintering habitat.)

Join Jennifer Reddell, bat biologist and cave & mine specialist with the WI DNR's Bat Program for an hour devoted to bats! Learn about your backyard bats and find out how bats use caves, mines, and tunnels in Wisconsin. Hear about the latest findings on white-nose syndrome and learn what you can do to help.

Listen to bat calls and see real bats at the presentation!
