Can I borrow items from the Belleville Public Library if I don't have a Belleville card/don't live in Belleville?
Yes. If you have a card from one of the 64 member libraries of the South Central Library System (includes libraries in Adams, Columbia, Dane, Green, Portage, Sauk, and Wood counties), you can use that card at the Belleville Public Library.
I forgot my card, can I still check out materials?
If you have forgotten your card and wish to checkout materials, you may show photo identification for checkout.
How long can I have items checked out?
|Material Type||Loan Period|
|Books and Audio Books||14 or 28 days|
|DVDs and VHS||7 days|
|Computer and Video Games||14 days|
How will I know when materials are due?
You will be given a receipt at checkout listing each item and its due date. You may also view the list of items checked out to your account and due dates at www.linkcat.info. Patrons may request that a pre-overdue notice by sent via email two days before items on their account are due.
How many items can I check out per visit?
Each patron can have a maximum of 100 items checked out on their card at one time.
How do I renew items?
Renewals can be done by bringing the item to the library, by calling the library, or you may do the renewal yourself online in LINKcat. Most materials may be renewed twice unless another library patron has requested the item.
