Shred Event Information:

  • Customers are allowed to bring in the equivalent of up to three boxes of paper. No plastic bags are shredded, prefer that customers bring material in paper bags like at the grocery store.
  • All material must be paper products only (file folders, checks, junk mail, old tax forms, etc.). Staples, paper clips, and rubber bands do not need to be removed.
  • No three ring binders or hanging file folders. Paper will need to be removed before being put in the shredding cart.
  • No media such as CD’s floppy discs, tapes, or credit cards.
  • Confirmation of destruction will need to be given to each customer that brings information in to be shredded!
  • The shred events are open to the Public. We put all events on our web page.

Recycled Shredded Paper:

All shredded material is taken to Kipp Street Station at the end of each business day where the shredded material is unladed from the truck. Kipp Street Station then bails the shredded material. It is then taken to a paper mill factory in Wisconsin where it is recycled into paper products such as toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, and tissue. For every 200 pounds of paper that is shredded, a tree is still standing today.

Event sponsored by the Belleville Community Bank, hosted by the Village of Belleville and Belleville Public Library.
